When Kaid turned 5 she said she wanted to get her ears pierced. So we were all for it until one day she asked, "mom, how do they get the ear rings in there?" That changed it all and she chickened out. This year she was determined to get them done! So, last Friday I took her to Sweet and Sassy. She was SO brave and didn't even hesitate one bit. She hopped right up on the chair and was ready. Although, as you can see, her face was a little worried!
Right after they were done, she smiled at me then started crying. She did do good. The one girl got her poker thing stuck so had to pull it off - poor girl! This is her, "trying to re-compose for the picture" look.
Oh what a Sunday we had. It is one I hope to not have to re-visit again. When you think of it Please please say a prayer that our house sells soon. I am really at my wits end with this whole showing thing. You life is at the mercy of showings. It doesn't matter what else you have planned. You CAN'T turn down a showing or they probably won't come back. So, when they called to schedule 2 showings on Sunday before Kaid's birthday party we had to say yes. We got out of the house around 12:30 and took Kaid to Max and Erma's for her birthday. The server sang to her and brought her an ice cream sundae for her birthday... she asked, "mommy, how did he know it was my birthday!!?" I said that she must just look like a 6 year old today! She responded with, "yeah, it must be the ear rings!" Yep, Kaid - obviously the ear rings! haha
When the showings were over we headed back to the house around 2:30 where Kim, Chad and the kiddos were waiting. Oh little miss baby-doll Ella - we do love you so!
I tried to convince Isaiah to come sit by them, but he didn't listen to his Aunt Janna!
